Melton Receives Radio Club Award
At the Hoosier Lakes Radio Club's
annual banquet on January 8, Loren Melton, WB9OST, was presented the 2008 Ham
of the Year award for his outstanding service to amateur radio and the
community. Loren has been instrumental in conducting classes for individuals
to pass their amateur radio license exams. Several of our local EMS, firemen,
and Red Cross personnel have become amateur radio operators because of his
efforts.
